There is nothing like a true SM style tri tip seasoned with the right seasonings!
Lived in TX 40 years before we finally could find tri tip (and they trim them 🙄). But the SusieQs sure made it taste like home.
Now we live in TN and… our local butcher will cut tri tip and leave the fat on!!! We season it with SusieQs, put it over some red oak chips on the SM style grill that we brought from CA… I can close my eyes, smell the bbq, take a bite and feels like I am back in Orcutt!

Susie Qs was always a key seasoning for cooking tri tip when I was growing up in California . Iam now 40 living in missouri and nobody new what tri tip was till I smoked one with Susie Qs seasoning. Got them hooked. Again hands down the best seasoning .Sincerely Anthony C.
Love the Susie Q’s seasoning we use it on our tri tips, steaks and chicken. We also love the beans, but only can get them in Santa Maria or online.
I love it on almost everything! My new favorite thing is making a compound butter with it. Pat it on your meat at the end of cooking and/or during the rest time.
