Santa Maria Style Salsa
Santa Maria Style Salsa
This mild salsa is inspired by an original family recipe, perfected on our ranch and served at our family restaurant, the Far Western Tavern.
We combine plump, ripe tomatoes with the spiciness of locally grown chilies, red and green onions, garlic and the sweetness of balsamic vinegar, to create this not-too-hot, not-too sweet salsa.
A classic family recipe, perfected over generations
Use our Santa Maria salsa on everything from chips to chops, try it when you barbecue steaks or with your morning eggs. For a great snack, mix this mild salsa with some chopped bell pepper, sweet corn kernels and left-over Santa Maria pinquito beans to create the ultimate salsa dip for tortilla chips.
My wife is Hispanic and we've had all kinds of salsa, store bought, homemade, various mixtures, etc., but this is by far the best!
While mild, this salsa is so, so good. It's wonderful on BBQ steaks, eggs, plantains, and chips.
